Child safety standards

Who this app is for

Doggy Play Dates is for adults, 18 and over. Nobody under 18 is allowed to use it. The app is listed on Google Play as 18+, and anyone who appears to be a minor is removed.

What is not allowed

Child sexual abuse and exploitation material (CSAE) of any kind is banned outright: images, text, links, or attempts to contact or groom a minor. There is no warning and no second chance. The account is removed and the material is deleted.

How to report

Every dog card and every chat has a Report button. Anyone can use it, without an account of their own being visible to the person reported.

Reports can also be sent by email to [email protected]. A real person reads every report, usually the same day.

What happens to a report

A real person looks at every report and can take a photo down or remove an account. A photo taken down after a report is visible to nobody but the person who uploaded it. Confirmed abuse means immediate removal of the account and everything in it.

Reports are kept, with the reporter's identity removed, even if the reported account is later deleted, so that a safety report cannot be erased by deleting an account.

Reporting to authorities

Confirmed child sexual abuse material is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) through its CyberTipline, and to law enforcement where required. We comply with applicable child safety laws in the United States, where the app runs.
